The works Merle Roehr consist of books I have authored, "There Came A Child" discriptions of being a house-parent in Christian childcare and "A Cowboy's Thoughts" which is cowboy poetry and short stories from ranching experiences. It also consist of my photography and in many instances of the work I am involved in, in childcare.
A cowboy's thoughts by a working cowboy. Cowboy poetry and short stories from the heart. Some funny some serious but all enjoyable. There is nothing more enjoyable than real cow work unless it is sharing the stories with those who enjoy that setting. I have no stronger supporters than a few old cowboys that are in senior citizen homes. Those men have given their full approvel of the writings by taking this book and reading it to others in those homes, these men were the true cowboys of our era. There were those who said they sat and cried because of the realities that were brought back to memories. There is no greater feeling than to have their endorsements.
